Local immunisation above national average

Central and North West Queensland Medicare Local has some of the highest childhood immunisation rates in the country, according to a new report.
The National Health Performance Authority (NHPA) report revealed 93.1 per cent of all five year-olds within this region were fully immunised in 2012-13, compared to a 91.5 per cent national average.
